GREAT Bentley Running Club's Claire Groves achieved her best finish to date at the Harwich Park Run.

Continuing her fantastic 5k season this year, Groves was close to a personal best time and walked away as first lady finisher.

Paul Hollidge was the first Great Bentley member home with a personal best on the course of 20 minutes 29 seconds.

At Colchester Castle, Vicky Presland was the first lady finisher in 20m 19s, her fourth time in eight appearances.

David Wright was the second finisher overall with a season's best run of 18m 24s.

In total, 19 Great Bentley members completed a Parkrun this week.

Seven members ran at the Felstead 10k, hosted by Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners.

Lee Clarkson and Chusa Bautista Fructuoso were the first blue vests home, crossing the line together in 48m 55s.

Frank Gardiner (51m 13s), Hien Hoang (51m 59s), Karen Skene (52m 54s), Louise Upston (60m 10s) and John Bush (66m 9s) completed the line up.

Meera Rajoo-Oakley competed in the Summer Ranscombe Challenge, a timed event where runners had eight hours to complete as many 4.4 mile laps as they could.

Rajoo-Oakley completed nine laps (39.6 miles) in seven hours 47m 36s, taking home the winner's badge for the day.
