BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent have confirmed a series of pre-season friendlies.

James Webster's side will kick-off their summer campaign with a home match against Wivenhoe Town - just promoted back into the Thurlow Nunn League premier division - on Friday, July 8.

They then visit Brantham Athletic, another Thurlow Nunn League premier division side, on July 12.

Regent XIs will be in action in two matches on July 15 and July 16, at Long Melford and Coggeshall Town respectively.

The R's then have an eye-catching friendly at home to Tendring neighbours FC Clacton on July 19.

New signing Aaron Condon will be up against the side he has just left, having helped them to a club record 10th-place finish in the Thurlow Nunn League.

It's Brightlingsea v AFC Sudbury on July 30 before a home match against Leiston on August 2.

Regent will then fine-tune their preparations with a home match against Hannakins Farm on August 6, before a trip to Glenn Eldridge's Harwich and Parkeston on August 9.

The new Ryman League division north season then kicks off on Saturday, August 13.
