BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent boss James Webster has admitted being delighted to finally land long-term target Tom Richardson.
The striker has joined from Ryman League premier division side Brentwood Town.
He scored ten goals last season and was also named as manager's player-of-the-year.
Now he has signed on the dotted line for Regent and and Webster said: "Tom's someone I've been trying to sign for the last 18 months.
"I'm over the moon to finally get him.
"He's strong, very quick and a proven goal-scorer at premier division level.
"He's an out-and-out number nine - something that was a top priority for us.
"Now we have Tom, I'm extremely happy with our forward options. It's another top signing and I know he'll score goals in our team."
Richardson was previously with Romford, scoring 19 goals in the 2013/14 season.
The following year, he managed 16 for Romford and Brentwood.
