THREE Clacton Indoor Bowls Club members and one Harwich bowler won the mixed fours competition held at the renowned Potters Resort, in Norfolk.
Overall, there were 118 teams in the competition and the coastal team included Sheila Howe, John Wilson, Mick Lewis and skip Brian Hopkins.
Each player received £200 worth of vouchers, a large picture of themselves and a bag of bowling goodies.
They won the scheduled eight-end final very convincingly with a score of 14 shots to one, after only six ends.
Meanwhile, three ladies teams are representing Clacton in the county semi-finals competition, to be held at Falcon Indoor Bowls Club, in Chelmsford.
In the pairs, Clacton duo Marilyn Butler and Marilyn Crane will play Leslie Collings and Sue Jones, from Falcon.
In the fours, Clacton bowlers face each other, with Joyce Hill, Jean Alton, Butler and Janette Millington facing Pauline Swift, Howe, Carol Batchelor and Stella Newell.
It means at least one of the club’s fours team will make it through to the finals.
