HOLLAND Shore Amateur Boxing Club’s Blake Housman contested his third skills bout in four weeks, on the Waltham Forest dinner show in Barkingside.
He was up against Gator’s Jibril Burleem.
Composed Housman found his range from the beginning and controlled a steady first round, with sharp left hands.
Burleem’s punches, in contrast, were falling short.
Well-timed jabs and good footwork enabled Housman to dominate his less-experienced opponent in the second round.
The Gator boxer tried to raise his work-rate in the third, but was met head on by the St Osyth-based boxer, who changed tactics and outpunched his lean opponent with eye-catching two-handed combinations to finish a comfortable contest.
