THE Ken Busby Memorial Trophy was held at Clacton Snooker Centre, in Valley Road.
Funds were raised for the Helen Rollason and Heart of Darts charities.
The main event saw players from all over the region compete in a pairs competition.
The eventual winners were Eddie Keary and Joe Twinn, who won the final after impressively beating cousins Craig Vickers and Anthony Hawkins.
The main event was followed by a singles competition, where another outstanding performance saw Twinn beat Martin Horn.
Both played in the spirit of the day and donated their prize money back to the charities.
There was also an auction for a darts shirt signed by all the England players.
Keary won it, making an impressive donation to the charities.
In total, more than £280 was raised and organisers hope next year’s event will be even bigger and better.
Thanks were expressed to Peter Derrick, who helped organise the event, to Sheila Busby and her family and to everyone who helped both before and during the evening.
