FRINTON Golf Club’s Mary Strutt (pictured) was a star performer as ladies from across Essex competed in the county seniors open meeting, at Bentley Golf Club.
There were four age categories, beginning at age 60, and Strutt was the top scorer in all of them to take home the Ina Cameron Cup.
She played brilliantly all the way round.
At home, Frinton’s ladies played their 15th EWGA medal of 2015.
The course was in good shape, but the winds continued to make the going more difficult.
Linda Hayles was the winner with a nett score of 71.
Barbara Thorpe was just behind her, with 72, and third place went to Margaret Dean, with a nett score of 73.
