FOUR Great Bentley Running Club ladies took on the Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon, in Dublin.
Sam Godden led Janine Simpson, Sinead Burgoyne and Helene Tyler along the River Liffey.
Runners passed the famous Ha’Penny Bridge, Christchurch Cathedral, Guinness Brewery, Royal Hospital and Kilmainham Gaol, before finishing in Pheonix Park.
Last weekend also saw Rodger Alexander, Paul and Lex Carlisle, Andy and Lel Fuller and Darren and Steph Horner give up their time to be part of the official “sweep” team for the Prudential Ride London event.
This one-hundred mile cycle race forms part of the legacy left over from the 2012 Olympic Games.
Approximately 30,000 cyclists started from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and wound their way through central and western London before finishing along The Mall.
Anita Rafferty flew the flag for Bentley, finishing in nine hours, 21 minutes and 23 seconds.
