FC CLACTON co-owner Stephen Andrews says the club will be doing “absolutely everything possible” to get Saturday’s game on against Haverhill Rovers.

Wet weather in the last week has left the match in doubt.

“The pitch is very wet, but we’ll be doing absolutely everything possible to get it playable and need as many people there as possible to support David and his new-look squad,” said a defiant Andrews.

“We need a bumper crowd and would urge all our supporters and anyone who hasn’t been for a while to come along and support us.

“A three-week break has been good in a way but the financial price is high.

“Youth games have been cancelled, too, and we’ve had no money coming in, but still bills to pay.

“We need a bumper crowd on Saturday.”
