CLACTON Coastal Academy’s year eight netball team continued their successful run by winning an inter-school tournament.

They were up against Tendring Technology College, Maltings Academy and Felixstowe Academy.

Clacton were up against Felixstowe first and won 4-3.

Brimming with confidence, they then thrashed Maltings 8-0.

Kayleigh Saunders scored three goals and Becky McDougall two, making the half-time score 5-0.

McDougall then added two more, followed by another from Saunders.

The last match proved the hardest, against Tendring.

Tendring scored first and by half-time were leading 6-5. The second half was very tough as the ball went back and forth.

However, after a nail-biting contest, Clacton emerged as 8-7 victors.
