GREAT Bentley runners earned personal bests and club standards galore at the Tiptree 10.

The club were out in force for the ten-mile road race, which also incorporated the Essex Championships.

The ladies’ team of Vicky Presland, Samantha Godden (one hour, 13 minutes and 42 seconds) and Steph Horner (1h 18m 7s, a personal best (PB) and gold standard) took second prize, earning themselves Essex silvers.

Barbara Law again took the gold medal in her age group, in 1h 38m 57s.

Presland also gained a diamond age-related standard with her time of 1h 11m 4s.

The first Bentley man home was Russ Sharp, in 1h 2m 53s, followed a mere three seconds later by Ben Ficken, in 1h 2m 56s, and then Charlie Keitch, in 1h 4m 57s.

Martin Owen slashed four minutes off his PB in 1h 19m 43s.
