STRIKER Scott Yearling is hoping to make a major impact during his loan spell at FC Clacton.

The Brightlingsea Regent front man has signed for an initial month and stepped off the bench during Saturday’s 4-1 FA Vase defeat at Stanway Rovers.

He wants to top up his fitness, after an injury-hampered start to the season.

And he also hopes to help the Seasiders push on and build on their recent encouraging Thurlow Nunn League form.

“I’m pleased to be back,” said Yearling, a former Clacton player who is the nephew of former Seasiders boss Phil Yearling.

“It’s a great opportunity to play first-team football and get some minutes on the pitch.

“Then hopefully I can kick on after that and, in the meantime, I really hope to help the boys push on."
