CLACTON Rugby Club are ready to sail uncharted waters.
After a summer of anticipation, the club are set for their first-ever London League fixture when Harlow pay a visit on Saturday.
It will be the Seasiders’ first game at this level, after gaining promotion following their play-off victory at Newmarket in April.
And coach Matt Mahoney says that far from being daunted or fazed, his players are ready for the challenge and looking forward to testing themselves at a higher level.
“It’s unknown territory and it’ll be good to get a few games under our belt, to see what we’re up against,” he said.
“But I think we’ll do OK.
“Lee Amman played for Wanstead but for the rest of our squad it’s their first taste of London League rugby.
“It’s a new experience and they’re really excited by the challenge."
