FC CLACTON boss Glenn Eldridge will be facing a very different selection dilemma on Saturday from the one he faced last weekend.

It will be a case of from famine to feast for the Seasiders as, after having a catalogue of players missing for their FA Cup extra preliminary round 2-1 win at Sporting Bengal United, Eldridge has an almost entire rosta to choose from as they return to league action.

Clacton will be hosting the Thurlow Nunn League premier division’s early pacesetters, Godmanchester Rovers, at the Rush Green Bowl (kick-off 3pm) and their manager admits he may have some selection decisions to make.

Last weekend, he had the likes of Aaron Condon, Kyelan Marvell, Louie Newland and Lee Clowsley missing, but now only has keeper Liam Daniels out as he recovers from a thigh strain.

Eldridge said: “It’s a very different situation that we find ourselves in as only Liam Daniels is still out and I’ve got five players all coming back.

“It’s amazing how things change, but it’s definitely a good position to be in.”
