FRINTON Cricket Club skipper Mark Jones says his side will not wave the white flag in their quest for title glory.
The coastal team suffered a blow after losing by 28 runs at Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship rivals Coggeshall, on Saturday.
It means Frinton stay second in division one, 12 points behind their conquerors from Harefield.
But Jones is staying positive, heading into this weekend’s home contest with Hadleigh.
“Coggeshall were great hosts and fully deserved to win, after we put in another poor batting performance,” said the Ashlyns Road captain.
“We won’t give up on retaining the title, but it’s Coggeshall’s to lose now.
“If they can win the rest of their games then they will be deserving champions.”
