WHIZZ kid Piers Prior has won the chance to sample life as an F3 driver.
The Thorpe teenager was victorious in a competition called Let’s Race 2 Reality.
As a result, he will now get to experience a test day in a Carlin Formula 3 car at Pembrey.
He will also have his own mechanics and engineers.
The 16-year-old, a keen motorsport enthusiast, battled against more than 40 of the country’s top novice drivers to secure top spot.
Starting with the qualifying round at Let’s Race in Horley, the competition progressed to round two at Buckmore Park.
Twelve heats and three finals later, Prior had won his place in the final five for the final round, at Carlin’s headquarters.
Following another successful outing, he put himself safely at the top of the leaderboard.
“I feel incredible and it’s quite an emotional moment,” said Prior.
