CAPTAIN Tony Stevens hosted Clacton Golf Club’s 2014 Guest Day.
In the morning, playing the front nine, the winners were Jiwan Rai and Puspa Shresjha, with 21 points.
In second were Ian and S Johnson, with 20.
Playing on the back nine, the winners were Stan and G Justice, with a fantastic 26 points.
Second spot went to Andy Moore and Frinton’s Ian Smith, with 22.
After lunch, the main 18-hole competition started and nearest the pin on the second hole was John Moore.
On the seventh it was Keith Dicker and on the 17th it was Ray Harris.
The longest drive was won by Chay Pratt.
The afternoon winners were Steve James and Chris Guy, with 43 points.
In second were John Moore and M Hunter, with 42 points, and in third were Gary Bolton and Tony Boggis, with 40.
