FC CLACTON will kick-off next season’s Thurlow Nunn League campaign on Saturday, August 9.

The league’s management committee have confirmed that both the premier division and division one will begin on that day.

The following Saturday is earmarked for FA Cup matches. This year’s non-league day – when football followers are encouraged to watch their local side – will take place on September 6.

Meanwhile, Clacton have confirmed the following five pre-season friendly dates – Long Melford away on July 11, Burnham Ramblers away on July 22, Radford at home on July 26, Brightlingsea Regent away on July 29 and Haverhill Borough at home on August 2.

The match against Saffron Walden, scheduled for July 19, has now been cancelled and the Seasiders hope to arrange another friendly on August 5.
