HOLLAND FC manager Rob Batten plans to give some of his young gems more first-team experience in the closing weeks of the Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League season.

The likes of Keelan Sorrell, Brad Firkins and Joe Foster have figured recently and will have more opportunities in the remaining four premier division fixtures.

“We’ve got some very talented youngsters and giving them first-team experience will bode well for the future,” said Batten.

Holland, who lost 3-1 at Little Oakley on Saturday, were pipped 4-3 at Harwich and Parkeston on Tuesday.

Steve Eaton scored in both games, with James Law and Blake Panrucker also on target against the Shrimpers.

Holland host University of Essex tonight and Tiptree Jobserve on Saturday, before visiting Gas Recreation on Tuesday.

They finish with a trip to AFC Barnston on Saturday week.
