Regent prepare for biggest game in years

BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent are preparing for their biggest game in years.

The club have an FA Vase first-round proper tie at Whitton United on Saturday.

And they are determined to continue their adventure in the competition, having battled through the previous round courtesy of a thrilling extra-time victory at Team Bury.

“It’s the biggest game in our short-term history, certainly since we became Brightlingsea Regent,” said boss James Webster.

“There’s a buzz around the club and we’ll go into the tie in confident mood, after last week’s 1-0 victory against leaders Cambridge University Press."
