Young golfers catch the eye in Skills Challenge event
5:10pm Monday 8th October 2012 in Sport By Matt Plummer
YOUNG golfers from Clacton were among the finalists at a national Skills Challenge event, held at Woodhalll Spa.
Although they did not go on to make the grand finals, they still caught the eye by demonstrating impressive putting, chipping, bunker, pitching and long-game skills.
Clacton’s Lily Rendell competed in the rookie nine to 11 years category, while Ben Rendell and Chloe Rose were in the 12 to 14s.
Jonathan Hewett battled it out in the 15 to 17s group.
