Late winner condemns Seasiders to defeat at Haverhill

FC CLACTON suffered last-gasp heartache in their Thurlow Nunn League premier division encounter at Haverhill Rovers, losing 2-1.

The Seasiders were hoping to build on the euphoria of last week’s first victory of the season, in Ray Turner’s maiden game as Seasiders boss.

And after falling behind inside four minutes, they looked on course for a valuable point, thanks to Jake Clowsley’s confident finish after 56 minutes.

However, the hosts scored their winner deep in stoppage time.

Brightlingsea Regent also came unstuck, losing 2-1 in their division one home match against March Town United.
