Mixed week for Regent

BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent were big winners in Thurlow Nunn League division one on Saturday, running out 4-0 victors at Ipswich Wanderers.

Liam Whittaker, Josh Gould, man-of-the-match Ashley Sauka and Phil Kelly netted for James Webster’s men.

However, Regent were brought back to earth on Tuesday, losing 4-2 at home to Braintree Town Reserves in the preliminary round of the Red Insure Cup.

Brightlingsea are at home to March Town United on Saturday.
