Struggling Seasiders hoping for a Vase tonic

FC CLACTON have a chance to put their league issues to one side this weekend by switching their attention to the FA Vase.

The Seasiders will be hoping for a morale-boosting victory – which would be their first of the season – in their second-round qualifying tie at Whitton United.

A positive result would be very welcome for Andy Tayor’s side, who are still awaiting their first Thurlow Nunn League win.

They suffered another premier division defeat last Saturday, losing 4-1 at Mildenhall.
