Taylor: it's time to roll our sleeves up

FC CLACTON boss Andy Taylor has warned his players to prepare for a “long, hard slog”.

The Seasiders are still waiting for their first victory of the season, after snatching a late equaliser in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Thetford.

Prior to that they had lost four games in a row, including a derby defeat at Wivenhoe, a last-gasp setback against Woodbridge and an FA Cup exit at the hands of Halstead.

While not wanting to be negative, Taylor believes his players need to roll their sleeves up and steel themselves for a tough 2012/13 campaign.

“It’s going to be a long, hard slog and we’re going to face games every week,” he said.

“People have got to realise that and I don’t mean to sound negative – just realistic."
