Snell claims national title after winning final race

BRIGHTLINGSEA Sailing Club’s Stuart Snell was crowned UK champion at the Sprint 15 National Championships.

Eighty-three sailors from around the country entered the competition, which was hosted by Brightlingsea.

The fleet was also the largest the championships had attracted for ten years and contained a number of sailors competing at national level for the first time.

Despite the hot weather and sometimes challenging conditions, the sailors enjoyed the tough but good-natured competition.
