Seasiders lose in final pre-season friendly

FC Clacton lost 2-1 at home to Great Wakering Rovers last night, in their final pre-season friendly before the start of the new Thurlow Nunn League campaign.

Substitute Darren Bethell scored their consolation goal from the penalty spot early in the second half.

Wakering's goals came in quick succession in the first period.

Clacton now switch their attention to Saturday's premier division curtain-raiser against CRC at the Rush Green Bowl.
