Cricketers storm back to winning ways

CLACTON’S cricketers stormed back to winning ways in the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League.

Having seen their proud unbeaten record go up in smoke against Bury St Edmunds last Saturday, they ran out two-wicket victors at Sudbury.

Shanaka Silva took five wickets for 81 runs, in 17 overs, as the Suffolk side declared on 308 for six.

Essex all-rounder Michael Comber then plundered an unbeaten 159 – an innings that featured 13 fours and no less than ten sixes – as the Seasiders prevailed.

Skipper Ben France was also in the runs, making 62.
