Chamberlain: we can stay in title contention
4:05pm Thursday 12th July 2012 in Sport By Matt Plummer
Clacton cricketer Ryan Chamberlain believes he and his team-mates can challenge for title glory this summer.
The Seasiders are the only unbeaten team in the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League and raised more eyebrows after beating leaders Swardeston by six wickets on Saturday.
It leaves them fifth in the table and full of confidence, breathing down the necks of the teams above them.
And after playing a key role in his side’s latest victory, four-wicket hero Chamberlain insists Clacton can challenge for EAPL honours.
“It’s important to set our sights high,” said the all-rounder, a product of the club’s youth system.
