Little Clacton receive a welcome cash boost
7:00am Friday 22nd June 2012 in Sport By Matt Plummer
Little Clacton have received a welcome boost from the Football Foundation.
The Colchester and East Essex League side have received a £5,000 windfall as part of the charity’s Grow the Grant initiative.
It will be used to create three new teams over a three-year period.
Little Clacton chairman Jonathan Turner said: “With prices going up in the modern world, it’s great to have support from the Football Foundation.
“This is great for the local area and for the club as a whole.”
Little Clacton, who will play home games at Plough Corner, will have a men’s senior team next season and an under-18s side.
They also plan to field an under-eights mixed boys and girls team.
