Pink ladies are rewarded for their tireless efforts

A dedicated group of female coaches received one of the top awards at an Eastern Counties Rugby Union dinner.
Brightlingsea Rugby Club’s “pink ladies” – known for their brightly-coloured kits – were awarded the President’s Volunteer Award for their exemplary services to youth rugby, at the event at Ickworth House, near Bury St Edmunds.
Lesley Littlechild and Nicki Carpenter attended and accepted the award on behalf of the group, which also includes Abbi Girdler, Lynne Farlie, Debbie Wild, Mary Hancock, Debbie Back, Emma Williamson and Kathryn Long.
