Georgie off to Games

Clacton's Georgie Ibbotson has been picked to represent England Central at the Sainsbury’s 2012 School Games finals.
The multi-sport event for school-aged elite athletes will take place from May 6 to 9 and the volleyball competition will take place at ExCel Centre – the same venue being used for the Olympic Games.
“I’m pleased to be selected and feel proud to be part of the Games, in such an important year,” said 15-year-old Ibbotson.
“It’s an overwhelming feeling and a privilege to be competing in an Olympic venue. I hope to become a stronger player with this experience.”
