Frinton Cricket Club have strengthened their bowling options by signing Australian Arjun Bagga.
The 19-year-old will be this season’s overseas player in the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship.
He will make his eagerly-awaited debut in Saturday’s division one contest at home to Woolpit.
“We’re excited to have signed Arjun,” said skipper Russ Everson.
“He’s a left-arm opening bowler and can bat as well.
“Our seam attack lacked a bit of consistency last season but hopefully he can help us on that front.
“Spin has been our strength over the last four or five years, thanks to Ted Moulton and Tom Lawes. They’ve become proven match-winners, both individually and as a unit.
“But now we’ve also got a strong seam attack in Arjun, Jermaine Shillingford, Ian Morton and Michael Armstrong.”
