Players past and present will be in celebratory mood at Clacton Hockey Club on Saturday.
The Seasiders are marking their 75th anniversary and a nostalgic mini tournament will take place throughout the afternoon, starting at 2pm, at Clacton Leisure Centre.
Players representing each decade are expected to join in, in addition to the current promotion-winning side, and spectators are welcome.
“It’s great to be able to celebrate 75 years because 12 years ago we were having discussions that could have seen the end of the club as we know it,” said first-team skipper Carl Parkes.
“But we’ve rolled our sleeves up, gone back to basics and created a solid and sound base to start the growing process again.”
The day will finish off with an evening celebration at the team’s clubhouse, next to the leisure centre.
