St Osyth's title-winning cricketers have finally received their PiriPiri North Essex League silverware.

Captain Sean Hennessy was presented with the trophy by Essex cricketer Graham Napier and league president Ben Stephens.

They received their prize at the league presentation dinner, held at Earls Colne Cricket Club on Saturday.

“Although it’s more than four months since we won the first division, it’s great to get our hands on the trophy now,” said proud Toosey chairman Mark Shuttleworth.

“It was a marvellous achievement, winning the title for the first time.

“All those who made it possible, both on and off the field, should take great pride in what they accomplished.

“Saturday’s event showed great recognition to not only the players but the whole club.”
