Holland Park make it a hat-trick

HOLLAND Park won the area finals of the indoor sports hall athletics competition at Clacton Leisure Centre.

It was the third consecutive year they had claimed the honours and they won by more than 50 points, ahead of Kirby and Cann Hall.

Pierre Alderman won both the boys’ long jump and vertical jump.

Charles Hutchings won the boys’ speed bounce while Charlie Harper was joint-first in the boys’ chest push.

Faye Nichol won the girls’ long jump.

There were eight teams competing from places like Harwich, Dovercourt and Brightlingsea.

Holland Park now qualify for the county finals in Southend on March 17, where they will represent the Tendring Coastal Schools Sports Partnership.
