Tendring sports awards are delayed

THE pick of Tendring’s top sporting talent will have to wait a little longer this year to discover whose outstanding achievements are to be officially recognised.
The prestigious Tendring Sports Personality Awards for 2009 have been postponed until later this year to tie in with a county and regional scheme.
The aim of the change is to raise the profile of Tendring’s sportsmen and women at an even higher level.
It had been planned to stage the awards ceremony – which is a partnership between Tendring District Council (TDC), activetendring and the Colne School Sports Partnership – at the Princes Theatre in Clacton on February 9.
