IN the big match in division one of the Clacton and District Table Tennis League, title-holders Brotherhood B edged past nine-times champions Brotherhood A 6-4.
It helped them avenge a first-half season defeat and narrow the gap at the top to just nine points.
There were three for Gary Young, two for Colin Stallwood and one for Martin Hogg, but it was a close 11-9 in the decider for both Young and Stallwood against Alan Burgess.
Greg Green took two for the losers, Burgess one, and they shared a doubles win against Young and Hogg.
However, Martin Green unexpectedly lost all three singles.
For a full round-up from the league, see this week's Clacton Gazette.
