The Lawn Tennis Association’s international veterans’ tournament is under way at Frinton.
It started on Monday and 191 players are in action from across the world, from countries such as Germany, India, Italy, Brazil, Australia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Ukraine and Holland, as well as from all over the UK.
The top seed in the men’s 35s singles, and number four in the world, is Danny Ward, from Lakeside, Essex.
The number two seed is Frinton Lawn Tennis Club coach Chris Harris.
The top seed in the 35s ladies’ singles, and the world number three, is Eva Haslinghuis, from Holland.
The finals will take place on Saturday.
Spectators are welcome and there is no entry charge.

Meanwhile, Sunday sees the start of the International Tennis Federation’s $25,000 Futures tournament, sponsored by Aegon.
This tournament attracts young up-and-coming players from all over the world and past competitors include Jamie Murray, the brother of Andy, and Amelie Mauresmo.
In the men’s draw, last year’s runner-up, Greg Jones, is the highest-ranked player on the entry list.
The 20-year-old from Sydney has won two career titles and has a current world ranking of 363.
