A host of famous faces are heading to Frinton for the town’s prestigious Cricket Week.
The annual festival – widely regarded as one of the most enjoyable in the country – will see the Tendring side pit themselves against teams from the Professional Cricketers’ Association and the MCC.
And the former, which kicks proceedings off on Sunday, August 2, will feature big names from the sport including Steve Marsh, Martin Macague, Paul Pritchard, Phil Defreitas, Mark Alleyne, Ian Harvey, Darren Cousins and Lou Vincent.
On the Monday, Frinton will play the Gents of Essex and that will be followed by matches against the Gents of Suffolk (on the Tuesday), a Leytons XI (on the Wednesday) and the Gents of Barking (on the Thursday).
The curtain will again come down on the showpiece event with a match against the MCC on Friday, August 7.
That match is already sold out.
There will again be two bars open to guests while corporate visitors can enjoy a fully-catered four-course lunch in the club marquee, which sets up to 300 people.
Tickets cost £45 per head on the Sunday and £40 per head from Monday to Friday.
For bookings, contact Jenni Osborne on 01255 850581 or Claire Blowers on 01255 470702.
