FRINTON Cricket Club's third team remained undefeated throughout their entire Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship campaign.

They had already sealed the division seven title heading into Saturday's final fixture against Felixstowe and Corinthians seconds.

And they kept their proud record intact after winning by 31 runs.

Having won the toss, Frinton chose to bat, making a very competitive 292 for five from their 45 overs.

This was largely thanks to 116 from Karl Pritchard and 71 from Iain Vine.

Felixstowe made a fast start in their chase and it took a run out for Frinton to finally make the initial breakthrough.

From then on, they continued to take wickets, thanks to disciplined bowling and some very good catching, especially from Ryan Harrington.

Three wickets apiece for captain Daniel Pritchard and Matt Hobbs meant Felixstowe were always struggling to reach the large target set by Frinton.

However, Felixstowe made a solid effort, making 261 all out thanks largely to a number of Felixstowe first-team players, who did not have a game.

Following the win, Frinton celebrated an unforgettable season by partying the night away at the club, ending a fantastic season with a bang.
