FRINTON suffered a four-wicket defeat at home to Norwich, in the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League.

After losing the toss and being put into bat, the hosts finished on 197 for eight, with their standout player being Michael Comber (82).

Opener Jack Newby then hit an unbeaten century as Norwich reached their target with four wickets to spare - despite the best efforts of all-rounder Comber (two for 41).

Frinton, who are fourth in the table, finish their season with a home match against bottom side Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.
