CLACTON and Colchester's walking netball clubs competed at a tournament in Ipswich.
Nine teams attended from across Essex and Suffolk and, in hot temperatures, games were played back-to-back for a sweltering 80 minutes.
Colchester played with great sportsmanship and were not demoralised by coming ninth.
Clacton finished sixth.
Coach Di Gerard said: “The players produced such a great, spirited performance, playing teams of various ages and abilities.
"It’s all about getting access to the sport for all abilities.
"It’s never too late to enjoy a game of netball and walking netball has enabled those who can’t do impact sport back on court once more.”

Sessions take place at Clacton Leisure Centre from 11am on Thursdays. The cost each week is £3.
Colchester also have a club that runs at Essex University sports hall on Mondays, also at 11am.
This also costs £3 (parking is free).
