BILLY Hunt walked away with a hat-trick of awards as Brightlingsea Regent held their end-of-season presentation night at the Taydal Stadium.

The prolific striker, who was named man-of-the-match on six occasions during last season's Bostik League premier division campaign, won the top-scorer prize after smashing 24 goals and also received the supporters' player-of-the-season accolade, as well as being the joint-recipient of the manager's award along with Jake Gould.

Long-serving Gould had another excellent campaign and is the club's record appearance-maker, having featured in 357 Brightlingsea games.

Elsewhere, James Love walked away with the players' player-of-the-season prize while the club's young player-of-the-year was promising defender George Keys.

There were also first-team awards for clubmen of the year Dillon O’Connor and Alan Wright, while Adam Auger scooped a Lifetime Achievement award.

Presentations were also made to the club's reserve-team players.

These went to Ashley Sauka and Dan Bradley (manager's player), Konnor Oughton (young player) and Sauka again (players' player).

Bradley won the most man-of-the-match awards, Oughton scooped the Golden Boot (23 goals) and supporters' prize while the most-improved player was Kane Eles.

In the under-18 section, the top goalscorer, with 15 goals in 15 games, was Rocha Fosker.

The players' player was Cameron Ismail, the manager's player was Thomas Dunningham and there was a Recognition Award For Achievement for Harry White.
