HOLLAND Shore Boxing Club's John Allison produced a classy performance in a skills contest on the Colchester ABC show.
He was up against West Kingsdown's rough Brandon Howard.
Howard walked onto Allison from the first bell, trying to get involved and throwing heavy combinations.
However, Allison held the ring centre and connected with sharp southpaw leads.
Howard tried hard to control the ring centre in the second round but Allison's sharp, hard counters kept hitting home as four and five-punch combinations found their mark.
Going into the third round, Allison again upped his workrate, walking onto the now tiring Howard.
His sharp hand speed unsettled the West Kingsdown boy, who was now glad to hear the final bell in a comfortable skills contest for the ever-improving Allison.
