BRAINTREE Town Reserves reinforced their position in the top six of Thurlow Nunn League division one with a fantastic result on the road against another side riding high in the table.
Having won 4-3 at King's Lynn Town Reserves the week before, the Young Irons were at it again as they headed to another top-four side - Whitton United - and came away with a 5-2 victory.
Their win came courtesy of a Lewis Stantiall brace and one apiece for Regan Farley-Hearn, Matt Travell and Jordan Sargent and took their goal tally to 14 from their last three games.
There was also joy for HOLLAND FC as they won 1-0 at home against Cornard United thanks to a strike from Steve Eaton.
It was Holland's first home win since the end of September, but there was no joy on their own turf for LITTLE OAKLEY as they were beaten 6-1 at the Memorial Ground by second-placed Swaffham Town.
Ryan Smart's strike proved only a consolation for the Acorns. There was also disappointment for HALSTEAD TOWN as they became only the second side to lose against Needham Market Reserves this season in losing 4-0 at the rock bottom side.
