BRIGHTLINGSEA won the third East Anglia Invitational Cup, held at Clacton Railway Club.
A strong field of six teams competed in a round robin league, including Clacton Railway.
Going into the final round of matches, Brightlingsea were leading the way but being closely followed by Fordham and Waltham Abbey.
Brightlingsea then had a convincing 17-7 victory over Stratford St Mary, while Fordham lost 13-11 to eventual runners-up Waltham Abbey.
