A STRONG field was severely tested as Frinton Rotary Club held their annual golf day on the local links course.
In windy and initially rainy conditions the stableford competition saw players benefit from their full handicap, with an early afternoon shotgun start.
As conditions improved so did the scoring, with the three leading players each beating their handicap.
Results: 1 Mark Adams 40 points; 2 Ross McAuley 38 points; 3 Tig Tanner 37 points.
Winning team - Ross McAuley, Peter Irwin, Tig Tanner and Keith Hockridge - 130 points.
Nearest the Pin - Peter Shepherd; Longest drive - Ross McAuley; Rotary Cup - Mike Dooley - 30 points.
The awards were presented by Frinton Rotary president Alan Wilcox, who then hosted dinner for players, guests and Rotary members.
