ST OSYTH Boxing Club brought their season to a close by holding a presentation night.

The well-attended event saw boxers, coaches and their families celebrate the club's first season.

The club recognised juniors and seniors for their efforts with trophies and medals.

The main awards went to Best Boxer for 2017 Tyler Upchurch, who had a fantastic season.

The best female in the gym award went to Issy Buckland, while the junior of the season was a tough decision and split between Jordan Gosling and Jake Godderidge.

The best bout was awarded to Donny Day, for his fight on the home show in March.

Anton Baldock was awarded the best senior boxer of the year and Carl Rollin was recognised for his contribution to the club as captain, along with his fights this season.

Kane and Ashley Upchurch shared the best gym boxers prize.

Head coach Billy Taylor stated what a fantastic year it had been.

The gym has benefited from funds raised by this year's attendance and the show in March, which the club hope to repeat in 2018.

The club is growing week by week and everyone is already looking forward to next season, to see what they can achieve.

St Osyth are also currently talking to a company who want to sponsor the club, which is a very exciting prospect.
