ST Osyth Boxing Club enjoyed a stunning end to their first season.

Two of their boys took part in the club's final show of the season, in Surrey.

Tyler Upchurch and Jordan Gosling were in action and first up was Upchurch, against a boxer from Horsham BC.

It resulted in a good win for the St Osyth ace, despite being up against a boy who had had seven bouts and won five of them.

Upchurch soon out-boxed him, though, combining good jabs, straight shots and great movement around the ring to obtain a unanimous decision victory.

Gosling had his seventh skills bout against a boy from St Mary's BC.

He produced a fantastic performance - his best so far - with good jabs and solid right hands.

Topping off the end of the season, the club's new equipment, bought from the proceeds of their show earlier in the year, was installed.

It was the perfect end to a busy first year for the club - a year which has seen their boxers compete in over 30 bouts.

The club gym will still be open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6.30pm and on Saturdays at 11am.

The club are also experiencing a growth in female boxers and hope some of the ladies will feature on next season's shows.
